Raffles Canouan Island Resort
Book This Hotel
Opened in summer 2004, this exclusive oceanfront resort sits on 300 acres of a private, 1,200-acre estate on tiny (three square miles) Canouan Island. Built in the style of a Mediterranean village, it features a central piazza with shops and restaurants and 156 guestrooms, suites, and villas arrayed in an amphitheater-like arrangement overlooking Carenage Bay. Upon arrival at Canouan Airport, guests are taken to the resort by luxury catamaran and welcomed with complimentary fruit punch and chilled towels. Five restaurants and two bars offer a variety of cuisines and dining styles, while a European-style spa and Trump-managed casino entice guests with their own respective pleasures. The resort also features one of the largest pools in the Caribbean (12,900 square feet) and three white-sand beaches with hammocks, lounge chairs, umbrellas, and beverage service. Guests also have access to a full complement of water-sports equipment, along with three tennis courts and an 18-hole oceanfront golf course designed by Jim Fazio. Other amenities include morning Tai Chi and meditation classes, a 19th-century wedding chapel, and individual golf carts for guests’ use during their stay. |
